How do you assemble this?
You fit the slots of the two directional pieces together. You may have to gently tap to fully seat them together so that you have the four cardinal directions. The rest is easy, just put in the bolts and nuts, tighten so that the four directions are placed on your mounting shaft.
Does this piece have nail or screw holes for hanging on the outside of my home?
Yes! Nails are included and there are holes for you to hang it on the wall.
